Platform teams

Taking cloud execution from beta to rollout.

Engineering Manager · 2025–2026

Alteryx

Remote, Czech Republic

At Alteryx, I managed two platform engineering teams with 10 direct reports. Our work covered running customer workflows in the cloud, securely managing credentials, and setting up the infrastructure those workflows needed. I was responsible for hiring, delivery, and technical direction.

Cloud Execution for Desktop was a central company priority. My team took it from private beta through rollout to Enterprise customers, including automatic setup for new and existing workspaces. Customers could run their Designer workflows in the cloud without having to configure the infrastructure themselves.

Credential management
Led the team building a unified API for securely storing customer credentials across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure private data planes.
Simpler infrastructure
Directed a redesign of data-plane provisioning that reduced the chain from three services to two and standardized communication on Kafka.
Engineer development
Promoted a Senior Engineer to Lead Engineer and coached two engineers toward Senior roles by giving them ownership of projects from start to finish.
AI in everyday work
Helped both teams adopt AI-assisted workflows and give their tools useful project context. I also used AI to build an internal app that informed coaching and team improvement.

Senior Engineering Manager · 2020–2025

SecurityScorecard

Remote, Czech Republic

I joined SecurityScorecard as a full-stack engineer in 2019, moved into squad leadership later that year, and became a Senior Engineering Manager in 2020. I led teams of up to 12 engineers across Europe and the Americas, with responsibility for hiring, career development, and delivery.

A major part of that work was MAX, a company priority that brought together a customer-facing product and internal tools for a managed cyber-risk service. I coordinated with Product, Design, and other teams to deliver it. Alongside that work, we made it easier for customers to discover the product and get started on their own.

Self-service onboarding
My teams delivered payments and subscriptions that let hundreds of customers get started without going through Sales.
Public Scorecards
I led development of Public Scorecards, creating more than 2 million indexed pages to help prospective customers find the product through search.
Engineer development
I supported several engineers as they progressed into Staff and Senior Staff roles.
Engineering quality
I established a design system adopted across engineering teams and led the move from Cypress to Playwright to improve test reliability and performance.

2014–2016

Czech News Center

I started as a frontend developer on some of the Czech Republic’s largest media websites, then became Frontend Lead & Frontend Architect. I led technical planning and built a reusable design system with the UX team.

2016–2018

GoodData

I worked on the analytics platform in React, Redux, and TypeScript, and helped build GoodData.UI, the open-source React SDK for embedding analytics in other products.
